Wheely works exclusively with chauffeuring companies and chauffeurs who own their own vehicles.

All chauffeurs are required to complete a rigorous selection process at the Wheely office. This process covers local geography, chauffeur etiquette, and vehicle accreditation.

Advantageous earnings model

Rates are based on both distance and time, rather than fixed fares only. Fixed rates apply only to airport transfers.

Weekly payments

You will be promptly paid in full on a weekly basis for your previous week’s journeys, with zero commission on tips or parking and tolls.

Wheely passengers are a pleasure to chauffeur. They value the discretion, professionalism and quality that Wheely offers without compromise.

Rely on full support either by phone during journeys or 24/7 via the chauffeur app for both iOS and Android.

The requirements

Wheely adheres to the very highest standards in every city in which the brand operates. These standards cover vehicle make and model, licensing (where applicable), commercial insurance and compliance with local regulatory requirements — although Wheely standards are stricter than those mandated by law. Every Wheely chauffeur must successfully complete a strict selection process covering local knowledge, driving etiquette and vehicle standards. You have two attempts to complete the process.

Chauffeur accreditation takes place in person at the local Wheely office and consists of the following elements:

  • A local geography test completed on an iPad. The test covers routes, landmarks, hotels, restaurants, entertainment etc.
  • Chauffeur etiquette.
  • Profile photograph, with chauffeurs expected to wear a smart suit and tie.
  • Checks of all relevant vehicle and chauffeur documents.

Each vehicle is assessed against our service standards covering:

  • Colour, upholstery, wheel rims, configuration.
  • Condition — near mint required.
  • Cleanliness — interior and exterior.
  • Absence of personal items.
  • Availability of required items such as water, name-board, charger, umbrella, etc.

  • No operator’s licence required: Wheely is a licensed operator.
  • Self-employed or a limited company.

Chauffeurs

  • UK resident.
  • A minimum 3 years of executive/chauffeuring experience.

Vehicles

All vehicles must be fully licensed by TfL and covered by commercial insurance.

  • Business

    Mercedes-Benz E-class new shape • Not older than 3 years • Black, silver or grey

  • First

    Mercedes-Benz S-class • Long-wheel base only + adjustable rear seats • Not older than 4 years • Black or silver

  • XL

    Mercedes-Benz V-Class • Long-wheel base only • Not older than 4 years
