How does Family Account work?
Family Account allows a Wheely member invite up to six close ones, pay for their journeys from a single payment method, and extend their Membership privileges to the whole family. The owner also has full visibility of the family’s journey history and spend.
How do I create a Family Account?
Any Wheely Member can create a Family Account in the Wheely app.
How do I invite my family members?
In your Family Account settings, add the contact details of the person you would like to invite, and we will send them an invitation. To accept it, they need to be signed in to the Wheely app, or to create an account using the same phone number.
You can invite up to six family members.
How do I join a Family Account?
When someone invites you, you will receive an invitation in the Wheely app, or by WhatsApp or SMS if you do not yet have an account. Accept it in the Wheely app to join as a family member.
Can I create or join more than one Family Account?
No. You can create one Family Account and belong to only one at a time — as either the owner or a family member.
What can family members see?
In the Wheely app, the owner can view the history of journeys paid with the Family Account. To see scheduled and ongoing journeys, they can use the Wheely for Business portal.
Family members cannot see each other members' journeys or the details of the payment card linked to the Family Account.
How does payment work?
The owner links a debit or credit card to the Family Account. It is charged after each journey paid with the Family Account, and can be changed at any time, as long as no such journeys are active or scheduled.
Do discounts and Wheely Credits apply?
No. They do not apply to journeys paid with the Family Account.
What if the owner’s Membership lapses?
If you are the owner and your Membership lapses, you keep access to your account details and can close the Family Account, but you cannot invite new family members. The shared payment method is removed from all family members' payment options. The Family Account is restored automatically once your Membership is renewed.

Do privileges apply to journeys paid for via the Family Account?
Privileges and discounts do not apply when the Family Account payment method is selected.
How does billing work in Family Account?
Your card will be charged after each journey paid for via the Family Account payment method;
Other family members cannot see your card details;
The linked card may be changed at any time, provided there are no active or scheduled journeys paid for via the Family Account;
The card linked to a Family Account cannot be deleted — it may only be replaced.
Are there limits on creating and joining the Family Account?
Each Wheely Member may create a single Family Account, and may belong to only one Family account at a time — whether as owner or as a member.

Can I see the Family activity?
Within the Wheely app, you can review the history of journeys paid for via the Family account payment method. To view scheduled and ongoing journeys of family members, please log in to the Wheely for Business portal.
What happens if I lose my Membership status as the Family Account owner?
You will retain access to account details and may close the account, but you will be unable to invite new members;
The shared payment method will be removed from the payment options of all family members.
The Family Account will be restored automatically once your Membership is renewed.

How do I join the Family account?
You will receive an invitation in the app once a Family Account owner adds your phone number. Accept the invitation to gain access to the shared payment method and Membership privileges.
If you do not yet have a Wheely account yet, you will receive a message via WhatsApp or SMS containing an installation link. Create an account using the same phone number to which the message was sent, then accept the invitation.
Can Family Account Owner see my activity?
