In the interest of safety and to ensure that Wheely partners do not carry out journeys when overtired, the Wheely Driver application now tracks the amount of active hours each chauffeur does and cross references this against inactive hours to assess whether chauffeurs are taking adequate breaks.
Active hours are calculated from when a journey is accepted until a journey is completed or ended. For every 7 active hours, a chauffeur is required to take a break of at least 6 consecutive hours.
No journeys should be carried out within this time period.
For example, a break of only 2-3 hours will not be registered as an adequate break.
1 hour before the 7 hour limit is reached the Wheely Driver application will notify the chauffeur as a reminder that they should plan to take a break shortly.
